Holness says first meeting with Trump promising
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Prime Minister Andrew Holness says that today’s first meeting with US President Donald Trump and other Caribbean leaders at Trumps’ Mar-a-Lago Florida residence was promising.
“We anticipate further discussions on energy, trade, security and issues to do with peace and stability within the region,” the prime minister said this afternoon via his Twitter page.
Holness, who departed the island yesterday, along other Caribbean leaders, are attending the Caribbean Leaders’ Summit.
He will return to the island on Sunday, March 24.
