Mephistopheles

Another one from 2002. I remember doing him and feeling pretty good about him because I let myself do whatever I wanted, so I painted my flamboyant, ideal self. It's good to give yourself permission to be devil-may-care once in a while. I think my art started becoming more "me" afterward.

This was inspired by Trans Siberian Orchestra's Mephistopheles, when he visits Beethoven. My best friend at the time gave me that CD and much art was a result.
