Question for liberals....

Let's suppose that she really and truly hates black people.

Let's suppose that her all time favorite country song is this #1 hit from David Allan Coe titled "N***** Lover"....

As long as she doesn't physically harm anyone doesn't she have the right to hate them if she wants to?

 

Saying a black person is the offspring of apes is racist. No two ways about it. The addition of the Muslim Brotherhood just added insult to injury.

The thing that's sad is that Rosanne is set for life and doesn't really need the money. John Goodnan is fine too. The rest of the actors needed the job. Hulu, TV Land and other stations airing reruns of the original series are canceling as well. That means no residual checks for anyone.

 

The ratings for the first season of the reboot which had just ended were excellent. The show had just been picked up for a second season. I never got to see an episode of it due to work and other RL schedule conflicts. However, I've read some reviews (before today) and most of them were positive. Now I guess I'll never even get to see the episodes of the first season of the reboot. I wonder if they'll even release them on DVD.

 

Would of been much easier to get rid of her, by paying a half dozen or so ( I must be careful how I say this, don't want to offend some one) men, or women, (ok i said it)to say she made unwanted sexual advances and made it an uncomfortable environment.
To be honest I won't call Jerrett anything, except the dishonest lying puppet master minion she is. Even if it is a non existing hybrid of talking primates, it's not fair to them.
The muslim brotherhood on the other hand, can rot in hell, for there plans of destroying my country. No matter how hard the media tries to bury that fact, the Clearion Protect has the links to the court transcripts from 1991, which detail their plans, the link between the other muslim organizations and the money trail, just in case you were unsure of what that terrorist group is really about.

 

Liberals say that we live in a racist society. Doesn't the fact that when even a famous person perceived as saying something that's racist against blacks is basically erased from TV history and treated like a pariah by the mainstream prove the very opposite? In a truly racist society being a known racist would have ZERO negative effect on a racist person...and to be called a racist would be met with a mere shrug and a "So I'm a racist. What's your point?..."

(BTW apply this same logic to being called a misogynist or a homophobe to see if we're truly in a misogynistic or homophobic society. )

 

I will add, my guess is that it's not just about her racist tweet. The first season had great ratings. When that happens, stars often try to renegotiate their contract for more money; sometimes a lot more.

When Valerie Harper demanded more money after the first season of Rhoda, she walked off the set and they gave her the $$$. When she pulled the same stunt after the first season of Valerie, they fired her. They brought in Sandy Duncan to play the aunt of the motherless kids and the show, renamed The Hogan Family, ran for 4 more seasons.

At the beginning of the 5th season of Three's Company, Suzanne Somers demanded a raise from $30K per episode to $150K and 10% of the show's profits. They told her to take a hike.

 

Yeah black people, and people like me for that matter are not going to stand for any reference to black people being apes or monkeys because that was actually the original excuse for enslaving blacks who people said were nor really humans and more like apes and monkeys. I would say any reference to blacks and apes and monkeys is right up there with the N-word.

And Barr must either live in her own little plastic bubble or be a very slow learner. It was at least a couple decades ago that some sports caster (not Howard Cosell) referred to a football player as a monkey and his career was over by the next day. Kind of the same thing as Don Imus' and his "nappy headed little hos." Gone the next day.

But you also make a great point. Barr's stupidity hurt a lot of people that didn't deserve it.

 

BREAKING NEWS: Valerie Jarrett Ain't Black

At most she's only part black.

Sure. And ABC has a right to cancel her show if they feel she harms the network. If people boycott the network and companies quit buying commercial time, ABC could lose far more than any revenue they would get if they kept the show on the aur.

Roseanne has freedom of speech, as we all do. She does not have freedom from the consequences of that speech. Who knows? Naybe Fox will pick it up.

 

She was born in Iran to American parents. Her father is African American and her mother is 1/4 African American. That would qualify as black to most people.

 

Oh OK. So she has a better claim than Obama to being black then.

Obama is 50% black and 50% white. He's as much white as he is black. Why some think that his blackness overrides his whiteness so that he's black rather than white makes ZERO logic.

Some call Obama the first black President. I call him just another white Democrat President.

The first black President will be a Republican.

 

I actually suspect considering how fast it happened that when ABC agreed to resurrect the show they told Roseanne they knew how controversial and racist she can be and while they were willing to give her a chance one racist attack and she was gone and the show was cancelled.

Because while no one on national TV is going to get away with referring to blacks as apes or monkeys I was stunned at the lightening speed ABC cancelled the show. Hell, on a couple other sites I belong to we didn't even have a chance to get an advertiser boycott started before ABC announced it was a done deal and the show was cancelled.

I don't know about you but I have been just laughing my ass off at his panic and desperation.

 

Identifying as bi-racial is a fairly new thing. They just started letting people check 2 races on the US Census in 2000. Given that Obama is half white, you'd think the racists would hate him half as much.

 

And this is coming from the same people who up until now lived by the "one drop rule" that even one drop of black ancestry meant you were black. Which has been the rule for more than 400 years and once was US law. And now they want to pretend to argue people aren't black if they are mixed race?

You can smell that hair on fire desperation from here.

 

So I was just wondering, guys, if maybe, just maybe, the real problem is Roseanne Barr is self destructive?

 

The Australian channel that picked it up has also cancelled it.

 

And I don't know if I have ever seen anyone go down this fast and this hard. The show was high in the ratings. And I am seeing a story that only a couple weeks ago ABC execs were pushing Roseanne's "controversial tweets" to advertisers.

So I am betting Roseanne really had no idea just how stupid she could be.

And another side angle I am seeing its pretty selfish of Barr to take all those other jobs and success down with her.
