Emmerdale is to give us five spectacular flash forwards to 2025 this New Year.
Ahead of another exciting year on the ITV soap, we’re to be given a glimpse into the futures of our favourite villagers.
But what do the previews entail? And who are they concerning?
It’s set to be an exciting year in the Dales as the drama continues for Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) in the wake of daughter April’s (Amelia Flangan) disappearance.
With the youngster still missing, Marlon will decide to film an appeal video, but it sadly results in a barrage of hateful comments online.
To make matters worse, the family liaison officer discovers contraceptive pills in her bedroom.
As the locals gather in The Woolpack on New Year’s Eve, Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) and Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) are on tenterhooks as her abusive dad Anthony (Nicholas Day) threatens to expose their affair.
There will be fireworks, whatever the outcome!
How long will it be before Moira (Natalie J Robb) finds out? It’s soapland, after all!
Also in 2025 we have an epic standalone episode exploring Jacob Gallagher’s (Joe-Warren Plant) first day working in A&E.
They day doesn’t go without a hitch – he soon faces the stress of an incoming stab victim and believes that it could be April. After contacting Marlon and Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry) to inform them, he finds himself in hot water!
