Not sure how to word this so...How many times have you ever met someone that appeared to be straight or was introduced to you that you thought was gay/bi/lez?? A girl I knew introduced me to her BF and as soon as he started talking I thought he was gay...3 months later he did come out to her as gay and she was devastated.. All the time I kept getting the feeling about him

 

Yes, my gay-dar works very well, I think.

 

I though gay dar was something gays had to find other gays,..... I can spot a gay guy, usually because of a lisp....and no offense to any lispers out there

 

I would like to know how to do that, save a lot of embarrassment.

I thought gaydar had been debunked. It seems straight men are just as good as gay men at spotting gay men. At work when gay men come out, everyone is unsurprised.

 

Hard to tell where I live. People kind of do what they want, so the little tells and clues don't mean anything.

yeah for me i can tell if there bi or gay by the way they look. there to nice looking. there eyebrows are plicked,there hair is perfict, they have a good job and drive a nice car, and they smell great.

 

It's certainly not foolproof. I know this will sound lame, but if I wear plaid, lesbians hit on me. Since I'm straight, I just don't wear plaid anymore. So there are certain things that set off people's gay-dar. Men with higher pitched voices are often thought to be gay, but most aren't.

I am bi ( but act straight) and I am fairly sure that I can spot gay guys. Not the easy obvious ones, but those who hide it. Its usually lots of subtle signs, often you don't know what it is , but it adds up. Its quite fun if you fancy him too , to let him know you are interested....

 

Gaydar is real. Obviously its not fool proof or scientific in any way. But for me, I can usually tell if a female is interested. Straight females literally look at you and interact with you, completely differently than a lesbian or a bi. I can just tell by how they act when I approach them.

 

Mine has actually proven to be quite good...and utterly useless to me.

 

I really do not care if a person is gay or not.
If you don't care then people are more likely to tell you about themselves.
I know quite a few gay people. I know 3 cousins who are all gay but they do not let each other know.

 

I have a 99% accuracy which I hypothesize has something to do with my bisexuality, even when it wasn't discovered yet. Beyond all the obvious signs associated with homosexuality there are mannerisms inherent with most gay men and gay women that stand out differently than mere effeminate men and masculine females. I worked for years with a multitude of gay people experiencing their vast personalities and to the naked eye some wouldn't even seem gay until you got to know them.
